Raj Khosla wanted the two superstars to share the top billing, instead of just starring in it together. This was not acceptable to them as they had never shared the top billing among themselves, not even for a single film. They had been sharing the first slot from their first film together ("Do Raaste", 1969) till their last film together ("Amar Akbar Anthony", 1977). Their films saw one of them getting top billing while the other got second billing. cfa1e77820
